I loved seeing different photos and getting to choose what lyrics I wanted to put on it because so many people use lyrics already written to compare and express themselves through. I loved doing this assignment because yes I am one of those people who listens to music and each song or artist evokes different emotions. The artists are called the Pirate Sessions and they makes me smile no matter what. I chose a photo from my Pinterest and thought of the quote afterwards. This was the original assignment My Favorite Lyric.

#10 Digital Me

I found the digital map to be very helpful. Basically, every blue shape is safe for anyone to see. The red shapes, however, are things i would like to keep private. Fortunately, everything on Facebook can be secured, and i’m pretty good about keeping things like my pictures, statuses, and groups private from the public. I am completely anonymous on Reddit and Tumblr, so i am almost positive those negative assets will never be a problem in my professional career.
I guess i plan on completely destroying and rebuilding a few of my groups before i become a teacher. I will probably delete my Facebook and Youtube accounts, and create new ones. I feel like all my old videos of my high school shenanigans will be negative. I’d also like to keep any affiliation with Kennesaw Pride or any Pride group private, because it might be negative to some people too.
I do think most of my school-related groups will be positive. Especially this WordPress account. I plan on doing more with my Twitter account when i have the time to make it a more positive asset.
Transmedia Franchise
SpongeBob Squarepants first aired in 1999 and has been blowing up our televisions ever since. The show aims to entertain young kids (and their parents) with its weirdness, catchiness, and uniqueness.
Although there haven’t been any spinoffs of the show yet, Nickelodeon produced a SpongeBob Squarepants Movie and a sub-series involving a character called Patchy the Pirate, who is played by the voice actor who voices SpongeBob. The show and its characters is also often mentioned in other shows, movies, etc.
SpongeBob’s character has always been strange and eccentric. He is carefree and fun-loving and always going on adventures with his friends, who’s personalities also remain pretty constant throughout the show. Although SpongeBob’s character changed a bit to a less intelligent, more emotional guy after the SpongeBob Movie, his random, silly personality has remained pretty constant. The undersea world of Bikini Bottom, where the show takes place, has also been the same throughout the series.
There are lots of ways for a fan to immerse him/herself in the show. People wear the merchandise, play the video games, and even dress up as the characters. Phrases from the show have wormed their way into the English language.
SpongeBob airs all over the world. The show is translated into other languages everywhere.
You don’t need to intensely follow the series in order to understand one episode. There isn’t much of a storyline. However it does help to have seen a few episodes so you know about the characters’ lives and relationships.
Each episode is pretty much the same. SpongeBob’s naiveness gets him into a situation. His simple-minded friend Patrick joins him. His grumpy neighbor Squidward complains about them. And some of his other friends join in, as well. In the end, there is sometimes a moral accompanied by a random occurrence.
New episodes of SpongeBob are being created and aired all the time. Kids our age remember SpongeBob from when we were kids and kids today have their own connections to the show.

Compassion by Keri Tomlin
I am asked a lot why I am going into teaching. There are a lot of reasons, but I think the biggest one is because no one was really there for me growing up and I felt pretty alone. My parents were in the military, so they were never home. I was generally unhappy with my life and the lack of compassion I faced everyday wore me down. I don’t want anyone to ever feel the way that I used to, so now it is my goal in life to, not only teach lessons, but teach compassion, understanding, and care.
But first I must learn it.

These are some of my closest friends. We went to visit Duke University in North Carolina to visit a chapter of our fraternity (co-ed). While walking around, we found some railroad tracks. I thought it was funny that no matter how much time has passed, we all very much enjoy walking on railroad tracks. This assignment allowed me to explore my more fond memories and contemplate the good things in my life.

So my first choice assignment was a fake album cover. The task was simple, click on the link provided for a random Wikepedia article. I ended up with “Secure Network.” It then was the name of my “band” and it was followed by clicking on the link for random quotes. The last four to five words were the name of the supposed album. Then, click on the third image brought up by the image website they provided. I feel that I was pretty lucky, because this definitely sounds/looks like an album I would pick up to try out.

Class Blog Post #6: Affinity Space
For my Affinity Space Project, I wanted to share with everyone my passion for Pinterest, especially with the “DIY” section. My friends and I make crafts about every two weeks and I’ve included some our personal projects, as well. Our group collects different ideas from Pinterest and we try to recreate some of those ideas to the best of our ability. Pinterest also links us to other blog sites, which keeps us very busy with new craft ideas constantly.
