Our area certainly enforces the stereotype of East Cobb – or “Snob Cobb.” The people here aren’t mean or rude, but they definitely live in their own bubble of their happy, privileged lives without paying much attention to anyone on the outside. If they do venture out, it’s most likely to the Roswell or Sandy Springs area, where the master narrative is just as bad, if not worse. Most people here would never have reason to go out into West Cobb, where they might be surprised at how different things are just across the highway.
For grade school students, life would be pretty great here. There are two good high schools – Walton and Wheeler – where you could get a good education to prepare you for college. There are also plenty of coffee shops, movie theatres, parks, and shopping for fun, teenage socializing.
