Written Description/Rationale
This activity will help students to consider the ways scammers intentionally send scam emails which contain similar characteristics (true/false information) to lure in a recipient into what’s being advertised inside the email. Students will consider how they have been tricked or developed ways to see if an email is a scam or not. They will then create a pocket guide to include characteristics of a hoax email which users must look out for. Scam emails will be created and sent to their parents, to see if the pocket guides are helpful or not.
